Attend a meeting of a multidisciplinary team. Examine the team leader’s communication skills and the group process. As you observe the meeting, consider the following questions:

Who was the team’s leader? What kind of leadership style did you notice?

How well did the team collaborate?

Was there any group strife? If so, how did it get resolved?

Was there anything that came out of the group meeting?

During your observation, did you notice any evidence-based care or decisions?

What role did nursing play in the multidisciplinary group?
