Is this a disease that needs to be reported? If so, include information such as reporting time, who to report to, and so on.
Describe the social determinants of health and how they contribute to the emergence of this disease.
Examine the epidemiologic triangle in relation to the communicable disease you’ve chosen. Include host and agent factors (presence or absence), as well as environmental factors. Is there anything special that the community, schools, or general population should be aware of?
Explain the role of the community health nurse (case finding, reporting, data collection, data analysis, and follow-up) and why demographic data are important for community health.
Identify at least one national agency or organization that addresses the communicable disease of choice and describe how the organizations contribute to disease resolution or reduction.
Discuss the disease’s global implications. What is the response in other countries or cultures? Is this disease endemic to a specific region? Give an example.
