Understanding the culture of an organization is critical before making a case for an evidence-based project and before beginning to assess the readiness of the organization to implement evidence-based practices.

To begin, fill out the questionnaire in the appendix of the textbook titled “Organizational Culture and Readiness for System-Wide Integration of Evidence-Based Practice Survey.”

2.Utilize the results to develop a 250-word analysis that addresses your organization’s readiness level, potential project barriers and facilitators, and the best way to incorporate clinical inquiry.

• Include the rationale for the survey categories scores that were significantly high and low, incorporating details and/or examples, in the body of the paper. Explain how to incorporate clinical inquiry into the organization’s operations, as well as strategies to improve the organization’s weaker areas.

4.Complete and submit a summary of your findings. It is not necessary to include the results of the survey itself.

Make sure to follow the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, which can be found in the Student Success Center, when completing this assignment. It is not necessary to submit an abstract.

After receiving feedback from the instructor, make any necessary revisions to “Section A: Organizational Culture and Readiness Assessment” before submitting your final paper. This will be a continuous process for each section of the course throughout the duration of the course.

Section B of the Evidence-Based Practice Proposal contains a description of the problem.

Using your proposed problem description for your EBP project, write a 500-750-word paper (excluding the title page and reference page) on the topic. The following points should be addressed in the paper:

1. Describe the situation that led to the problem. Tell the story of the problem and why it deserves to be taken seriously.

2. Identify the parties involved or those who are driving change. Who is concerned, who may benefit from, and who may be affected by this proposal, as well as what organizations are involved. Make a list of the parties who are interested, such as patients, students, government agencies, the Joint Commission, and so on.

3.Refine your PICOT question in light of the feedback you received from the Topic 2 main forum post. Check to see if the question pertains to your graduate degree specialization before answering it.

4.State the purpose of the project and the objectives of the project in specific, realistic, and measurable language. What is to be gained should be addressed in the objective. This is a restatement of the question, which helps to keep it focused. It is necessary to collect data both before and after the implementation of evidence-based practice in order to identify the expected changes.

If the problem or issue is important for nursing to resolve, provide supporting evidence for this claim using relevant professional literature sources.

Prepare an initial reference list to ensure that there is sufficient literature to support your evidence-based practice project. 7. Follow the instructions in the box titled “Steps to an Efficient Search to Answer a Clinical Question” in chapter 3 of the book. Use the “NUR-699 Search Method Example” to guide you through the process.

7.7) The majority of the references should be articles of research in the field. However, when gathering statistics to provide the rationale for the problem, national sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the Department of Health and Human Resources (HHS), or the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and others may be used.

8.Once you begin reading the literature, you may discover that there is very little research to support your topic, and you will be forced to start from the beginning. Please remember that for this to be considered an evidence-based project, you must have sufficient evidence to justify implementing this as a practice change. If you come to the conclusion that you do not have enough evidence to change a practice, you will need to conduct additional research.

Make sure to follow the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, which can be found in the Student Success Center, when completing this assignment. It is not necessary to submit an abstract.

The following are the seven formal sections of this project:
