1. You are required to conduct research, analyze the findings, and write a scholarly paper in APA format on the topic you have chosen.

2. Construct an introduction that defines and describes the subject matter. Explain what the topic is intended to accomplish and how it will affect the delivery of healthcare in general, and nursing care in particular, in your response. Keep in mind that according to APA guidelines, you should not use the heading ⠀Introduction ,†but you should include it at the beginning of your paper.

3. Look for scholarly sources and relevant websites to use in your research. Include a minimum of three sources in your proposal. Following proper APA formatting, include them in the References list as well as citing them throughout the body of the paper.

four. Give at least two examples of your topic (one example for standardized terminology is NANDA).

Using evidence from your sources, describe the most important characteristics or aspects of each example.

5. Describe a personal experience in which the topic had an impact on you, whether you were a patient receiving health care or a caregiver providing nursing care. Give an example of a positive aspect of your experience. Describe one negative aspect of this experience and how it could have been made better if you had more time.

6. Write a conclusion that summarizes the main points of the paper. Predict what will happen in the future with regard to this topic. Give an example of how your newfound insight will affect your nursing care practices.

7. To develop your paper, make use of Microsoft Word. Make use of the APA style formatting. Consult the American Psychological Association’s Publication Manual, 6th edition. Examine the various American Psychological Association (APA) documents included in this course, as well as the Chamberlain Care Student Success Strategies (CCSSS) that can assist you in your writing. Make use of the tutoring service, Smarthinking, which can be found under the Student Resources section of the website.

A paper should not exceed four to five pages (but not more than eight pages) in total length, excluding the title page and the reference page.
