Among the various stakeholders, the registered nurse must apply legal and ethical theories and principles in practise. There is a need to assess the legal and ethical considerations that exist in healthcare today, to evaluate nursing’s role in health initiatives, and to find ways to help improve health and health outcomes. This presentation will assist nurses in recognising and responding to quandaries in a variety of health care settings and nursing roles. This presentation will provide an overview of regulatory action as well as the legislative and judicial processes, allowing nurses to become acquainted with changes affecting the health care system such as patient rights, technological advancements, and managed care.

The role of the nurse as a health professional, advocate, and leader will be examined in this presentation:

Choose five legal or ethical concepts you believe have an impact on nursing practise.
Explain the selected concepts in terms of both agency viability and patient care quality.
Examine the concepts chosen and conduct a strategic analysis for legal and ethical priorities, challenges, and issues.
Identify instances of actions taken by an agency or provider that would or could violate a health care provider’s or a patient’s ethical duties and responsibilities or patient rights.
Create a policy proposal, as well as measures and recommendations, to prevent legal and ethical violations.
Describe how nursing could intervene or advocate for the more effective incorporation of legal and ethical theories and principles into practise.
