Determine a potential problem (topic) that you would like to investigate through nursing research based on your specialty role option (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, Nurse Informaticist, Nurse Administrator). Read the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) position statement on nursing research (http://www.aacn.nche.edu/publications/position/nursing-research).

Next, search Southâ€TMs Online Library for at least three nursing research articles that have addressed the problem you have identified. The literature should be no more than 5 years old. Respond to the following questions after reading the literature:

Note your role specialization and briefly describe the problem you want to research and why it interests you.
Discuss your library search strategies and provide a brief summary of the literature you read. Concentrate your discussion on the â€problem†and how the literature you identified provides evidence of the problem’s existence.
Include a potential innovation that you might consider as a solution to the identified problem in your discussion.
Citations/references should be formatted in APA style, with citations used where appropriate.
