The goal of this assignment is to give the student the opportunity to reflect on specific RN-BSN competencies learned in the NUR3165 course.

Course Results

This assignment demonstrates the student’s ability to meet the following course outcomes:

– The student will be able to complete a full research paper. The student will be able to identify research methods, sources, and their application in nursing practice. POINTS There are a total of 100 points available for this assignment (10 percent ).

Requirements

The Course Reflection is worth 100 points (10 percent) and will be graded based on the quality of self-assessment, use of citations, use of Standard English grammar, sentence structure, and overall organization as summarized in the directions and grading criteria/rubric.

The length of the reflection should be between three and six pages, excluding the title and reference pages.
A title page and a reference page are required in APA format. Getting Ready for Your Reflection

The BSN Essentials (AACN, 2008) define a variety of healthcare policy and advocacy competencies for BSN-prepared nurses. Reflect on the NUR3165 course readings, discussion threads, and applications you have completed throughout this course and write a reflective essay about how prepared you feel you are now to:

1. â€Explain the connections between theory, practice, and research.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental components of the research process and models for analysis.
