Nursing problems are frequently derived from a source of concern or a gap in clinical practice or theory. The student should address a problem or issue related to supporting health, providing care, or interacting with a variety of providers and/or patients in order to complete the clinical practicum experience. Observing nursing care in a clinical setting and researching current issues related to nursing and the health care profession in a peer-reviewed journal are examples of problem-solving methods.

Create a two- to three-page paper describing the following:

Determine a problem that is relevant to your clinical setting. (There are frequent falls. The eleventh of October is a leap year.
Determine the PICOT question and the null hypothesis. My PICOT question is: In a high-risk fall patient on a Medical-Surgical unit, how does assigning staff to sit with patients around the clock prevent falls during their hospitalization versus hourly rounding?
Describe the issue’s history and context.
Describe current evidence-based practice research on the subject.
Determine your stakeholders.
Summarize the inherent costs of this issue to patients, healthcare organizations, healthcare providers, and so on.
Summarize the ethical and legal issues raised by this topic.
