There is a need to assess the legal and ethical considerations that exist in healthcare today, to evaluate nursing’s role in health initiatives, and to find ways to help improve health and health outcomes. This presentation will assist nurses in recognising and responding to quandaries in a variety of health care settings and nursing roles. This presentation will provide an overview of regulatory action as well as the legislative and judicial processes, allowing nurses to become acquainted with changes affecting the health care system such as patient rights, technological advancements, and managed care.
