ARTICLE CRITIQUE PAPER FOR SCHOLARSHIP (35 percent of final grade) DUE DATE: 12th of December, 2019 GUIDELINES:

Each STUDENT is required to submit one formal paper. The paper should be five (5) pages long in total (double-spaced, 12 font, 1 inch margins).

Follow APA formatting guidelines for a cover sheet, headers, pagination, references, and so on. APA format is recommended, and each section should be labeled using the evaluation outline provided below.

The following criteria guidelines will be used to evaluate your paper.

Paper components and potential points: a total of 35% of the class grade

POSSIBLE SECTION POINTS:

Analyze the fundamental components/concepts of the chosen theory

-Explain in detail the theory’s key concepts and/or components.

-Use a secondary source, such as your textbook or a scholarly article, to explain the chosen nursing theory.

Relevance to Research and Practice:

-Select two peer-reviewed/practice-based articles that apply the same theory to clinical patient care issues (i.e. multiple sclerosis, CHF, etc.).

-Explain the main points of each article (purpose, sample size, methodology, interventions, results, future implications, strengths & limitations).

-Analyze and summarize how the research findings can be applied to primary care to improve the care provided by the family nurse practitioner.

Format:

-Exact APA style, headers and pagination, references, proper grammar/spelling, and so on.
