What is your problem? Care providers such as doctors, nurses, and physicians do not critically follow the current information from the Word Health Organization (WHO) and  Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding CAUTI’s medical guidelines.
Who does this Affect? The primary health providers are affected by this problem.
This issue also affects the patients and their families and has some impact on the community in general.
When is it a problem? The primary health workers do not always follow the clinical guidelines recommended by the CDC and WHO and ultimately fail to adhere to proper hygiene practices. This happens when handling catheters, and the result is always an increased spread of CAUTI bacteria and infections.

Why should I care? When correct guidelines, such as the use of proper sanitation and hygiene, are not adopted, the results could lead to death or sepsis. Further, the result could lead to a longer hospital stay, additional treatments, and readmissions, thus resulting in more healthcare costs.

How does it affect the customer? The patients are impacted as they have to dig deep into their pockets to cater for additional medical treatments. Patients’ mental well-being is also affected as they experience more pain due to spreading CAUTIs. Also, noncompliance may lead to the cancelation of the practicing certificate, which may deprive of patient care services.
