Using a current communicable disease outbreak of measles in the United States and around the world as an example, students will demonstrate their Community/Public Health Nursing knowledge in a thorough and comprehensive manner. In order to answer the following questions in APA format with at least six official scholarly sources and scholarly articles in a 6 to 7 page format, you must analyze, synthesize, and evaluate the current data as of November 2019.

1) Use epidemiological framework to describe measles and provide biostatistical data on morbidity and mortality in New York State, the United States, and one other country of your choosing as of November 2019.

2) Examine and discuss the social, cultural, environmental, political, and behavioral factors related to measles that are currently influencing health policies and health-care infrastructures in the United States of America.

3) Discuss the policy efforts being undertaken by counties across New York State and the United States to try and contain the measles outbreaks that have occurred as of November 2018.

Discussion of two measures that Community/Public Health Nurses should include in their interactions with patients and families in the community during this time.
